The Desktop Application
The Glambot Studio Desktop app is the capture-and-processing half of Glambot Studio. It runs on macOS and turns raw footage into finished, delivered videos — automatically.
Part of one product
The Desktop app isn't a separate tool — it works on the same projects as the Cloud platform. Projects live inside the app and stay continuously synced with the cloud. See Managing Projects and Sync & Offline for how that link works.
What it automates
A complete pipeline runs without manual steps:
- ✅ Plug in your SD card or mount your drive
- ✅ The app does the rest:
- imports new files
- transcodes with your preset settings
- applies automatic editing — intros, overlays, color grading (if configured)
- uploads finished videos to the cloud
- matches each video to the right form submission
- sends the guest a personalized email
- exposes the videos in public pages and live galleries

How it fits with the Cloud platform
| You do in the Cloud | You do in the Desktop app |
|---|---|
| Create a project & registration form | Open that same project locally (or create one and push it up) |
| Brand the project (logo, colors) | Configure transcoding, color, and editing |
| Receive guest submissions | Import, process, and upload footage |
| Deliver via emails & live galleries | Let uploads match submissions automatically |
| View analytics | Track import & processing locally |
A typical setup:
- Cloud — create the project and form, then publish it.
- Desktop — download the app, sign in, and open the project.
- Desktop — set your import, transcode, and color settings.
- Desktop — create import services (watchfolders).
- Automatic — capture, processing, upload, and delivery happen on their own.
