The Desktop Application

The Glambot Studio Desktop app is the capture-and-processing half of Glambot Studio. It runs on macOS and turns raw footage into finished, delivered videos — automatically.

Desktop Application

Part of one product

The Desktop app isn't a separate tool — it works on the same projects as the Cloud platform. Projects live inside the app and stay continuously synced with the cloud. See Managing Projects and Sync & Offline for how that link works.

What it automates

A complete pipeline runs without manual steps:

  1. ✅ Plug in your SD card or mount your drive
  2. ✅ The app does the rest:
    • imports new files
    • transcodes with your preset settings
    • applies automatic editing — intros, overlays, color grading (if configured)
    • uploads finished videos to the cloud
    • matches each video to the right form submission
    • sends the guest a personalized email
    • exposes the videos in public pages and live galleries

Automated workflow

  • All your projects in one place, offline-first — no project files to manage
  • Continuous two-way sync with the cloud when online
  • A project manager showing Local, Server, and Synced projects
  • A 36-hour grace period keeps published projects working through network drops
  • See Managing Projects and Sync & Offline

Automatic import

  • Watchfolders — monitored folders for automatic import
  • Disk mount detection — auto-import from SD cards and external drives
  • Manual import — drag-and-drop or the import tile in the video list
  • Multiple services — several watchfolders at once

Professional video processing

  • High-quality encoding with per-project settings
  • Automatic editing — intros/outros, overlays, soundtrack, and transforms per group
  • Color grading — manual adjustments and custom LUTs, set per editing group
  • Broad format support

Delivery & monitoring

  • Automatic upload to the linked cloud project
  • Smart association with form submissions
  • Email notifications to clients
  • Statistics — views, shares, downloads per video
