Quick Start

Go from an empty account to a video delivered to a client in one pass. This walkthrough spans both the Cloud platform and the Desktop app — the two halves of the same workflow.

In a hurry?

Steps 1–4 (Cloud only) are enough to collect registrations and share videos by hand. Steps 5–7 add the Desktop app for automated capture, and Step 8 adds a live gallery for guests.

Step 1: Sign in and start your trial

  1. Go to dashboard.glambot-studio.app.
  2. Create an account or log in.
  3. A new organization is created for you with a 15-day free trial.

During the trial you can build and test everything; a subscription is only required to publish a project. See Subscription.

Step 2: Create a project

  1. Click "New Project".
  2. Enter a descriptive name (e.g. "Dupont Wedding").
  3. Click "Create Project".

Your project opens on the Videos tab. A project always carries a default registration form with Name and Email fields.

Step 3: Customize the form (optional)

Open the Settings → Form sub-tab:

  1. Add fields to collect more information.
  2. Write a description to set the context for guests.
  3. Write a conclusion message shown after submission.

Then open Settings → General to add your logo, banner, background, and colors — these brand your form and your live galleries.

Step 4: Publish and share the form

  1. Click "Preview" to see the public form.
  2. Publish the project (requires an active subscription) and copy the public URL, or create a memorable alias like /p/dupont-wedding.
  3. Open the URL, fill it in with test data, and submit.
  4. Back in your project, open the Submissions tab — your entry appears there.

Step 5: Install the Desktop app and open your project

  1. In the dashboard, go to Resources → Download and install the macOS app.
  2. Launch it, sign in with your Glambot Studio account, and pick your organization from the selector.
  3. Double-click the project you created in Step 2 — it shows a Server ☁️ badge. It downloads to your Mac and becomes Synced.

No connection at the venue? You can still create a project locally with New Project. It starts in Draft mode; create its cloud project later from the in-project Create your cloud project banner.

The Desktop app shows a project manager listing all your projects — Local, Server, and Synced — so you always know what's where.

Step 6: Configure processing

Open Preferences (Cmd + ,) in the Desktop app and set your defaults once:

  1. Folders & watchfolders — choose an import folder and a transcode folder, then add a watchfolder (or enable disk-mount detection) so new footage is picked up automatically. See Import Services.
  2. Transcode settings — pick the container, codec, resolution, and quality preset applied to every import. See Transcoding.
  3. Automatic editing & color (optional) — in the Video Editing tab, assemble intros/outros and apply group-level effects: overlays, soundtrack, and color grading (manual adjustments or a custom .cube LUT). See Automatic Editing and Color Correction.

Step 7: Capture and let it run

  1. Bring in footage in whichever way suits you:
    • plug in your SD card or mount your drive (auto-imported on detection),
    • drop files into a watchfolder, or
    • add files by hand with the import tile at the end of the video list (or drag-and-drop). See Manual Import.
  2. For each clip the app transcodes, applies your automatic editing (including color grading), and uploads the result automatically.
  3. Uploaded videos appear in the project's Videos tab in the cloud, ready to deliver.
Publish to drop the watermark

While a project is unpublished it stays in Draft mode, so transcodes carry a watermark and uploads are capped at a short preview limit. Publish the project (Step 4) to deliver clean, full-length videos.

Step 8: Deliver to your clients

Choose how guests receive their videos:
