Complete guide to activate Glambot Studio Desktop and manage your license seats.
Demo Mode vs Activated Mode
Demo Mode (Not Activated)
On first launch, the application runs in Demo mode without requiring immediate activation.
Demo Mode Features:
- ⚠️ Mandatory watermark: All transcoded videos include a Glambot Studio watermark
- ⚠️ Limited features: Some advanced features are disabled
- ✅ Full testing: Allows you to test the application before subscribing to a seat
- ✅ No time limit: Demo mode does not expire
In Demo mode, all transcoded videos include a visible watermark across the entire video. This watermark is removed as soon as the application is activated.
Activated Mode
Once activated, the application works without restrictions.
Activated Mode Benefits:

- ✅ All features: Full access to the application
- ✅ Priority support: Dedicated technical assistance
- ✅ Automatic updates: New features and fixes
License Seat System
How Seats Work
Each Glambot Studio Cloud account has a defined number of seats (simultaneous installations).
Consumption Rules:
- 🪑 1 activated installation = 1 seat consumed
- 💻 Multiple computers possible: You can activate the application on multiple Macs
- 🔄 Releasable seats: You can deactivate an installation to free up a seat
- ⚠️ Seat limit: According to your subscription (1, 3, 5, 10, or unlimited)
Check Your Available Seats
From the Desktop Application:
- Open Preferences > Application > Activation
- Check "Seats used": X/Y seats available
From the Cloud Platform:
- Log in to https://dashboard.glambot-studio.app
- Go to Organization > Licenses
- Check the "Active Installations" section
Activate the Application
Prerequisites
Before activating the application, make sure you have:
- ✅ An active account on Glambot Studio Cloud
- ✅ At least 1 available seat on your account
- ✅ An active Internet connection
Activation Process
Step 1: Access the Activation Section
On first launch:
- Click "Activate Application" on the welcome screen
Or from Preferences:
- Open Menu > Preferences (or Cmd + ,)
- Go to Application > Activation
Step 2: Log in to Cloud Account
- Enter your email: The email associated with your Glambot Studio account
- Enter your password: Login password for the Cloud platform
- Click "Sign In"
If you've forgotten your password, click "Forgot password?" to receive a reset email.
Step 3: Register the Installation
- Verify the connection information displayed:
- Account name
- Available seats
- Click "Register this Installation"
- Confirm the action in the confirmation window
Step 4: Verify Activation
Once activated, the application displays:
- ✅ Status: "Activated"
- 👤 Account: Your email
- 💺 Seats used: X/Y seats available
- 🆔 Installation ID: Unique identifier for this installation
- 📅 Activation date: Registration date and time
Manage Your Installations
View All Active Installations
From the Cloud Platform:
- Log in to https://dashboard.glambot-studio.app
- Go to Organization > Licenses > Active Installations
You will see for each installation:
- Computer name: Mac identifier
- Activation date: When the installation was activated
- Last connection: Last time the application connected
- Installation ID: Unique identifier
Deactivate an Installation
To free up a seat and reuse it on another computer:
From the Desktop Application (Recommended)
- Open Preferences > Application > Activation
- Click "Deactivate this Installation"
- Confirm the action in the dialog window
- The seat is immediately released
- The application returns to Demo mode
From the Cloud Platform (Remote)
Useful if you no longer have access to the computer:
- Log in to https://dashboard.glambot-studio.app
- Go to Organization > Licenses > Active Installations
- Select the installation to deactivate
- Click "Deactivate"
- Confirm the action
Remote deactivation takes effect immediately. If the application is in use, it will switch to Demo mode on next startup.
Rename an Installation
To easily identify your installations:
- In Organization > Licenses > Active Installations
- Click on the installation name
- Enter a new descriptive name (e.g., "MacBook Pro Office", "Mac Mini Studio")
- Validate by pressing Enter
Increase the Number of Seats
If you need more seats:
From the Cloud Platform
- Log in to https://dashboard.glambot-studio.app
- Go to Organization > Subscription
- Click "Manage Seats"
- Select the desired number of seats
- Validate the modification
Additional seats are billed proportionally to the remaining time in your current billing period.
Activation Troubleshooting
Unable to Connect
Checks:
- ✅ Check your Internet connection
- ✅ Confirm your credentials (email and password)
- ✅ Try logging in at https://dashboard.glambot-studio.app
- ✅ Verify that your account is active
Solution:
- If you cannot log in to the Cloud platform, reset your password
- Contact support if the problem persists
No Seats Available
Error message: "No seats available on your account"
Solutions:
- Check the number of seats used on the Cloud platform
- Deactivate an existing installation if you no longer need it
- Increase the number of seats from your subscription
- Contact sales support for assistance
"Installation Already Registered" Error
Cause: This installation has already been activated previously
Solutions:
- If it's a reinstallation, activation should be automatic
- If you still see Demo mode, deactivate then reactivate the installation
- Contact support providing the Installation ID
Application Returns to Demo Mode
Possible causes:
- Internet connection interrupted for too long
- Seat deactivated remotely from the Cloud platform
- Synchronization problem
Solutions:
- Check your Internet connection
- Go to Preferences > Application > Activation
- Click "Refresh Connection"
- If the problem persists, deactivate then reactivate the installation
Recurring Connection Problems
Symptoms: The application frequently asks to reconnect
Causes:
- Unstable Internet connection
- Firewall blocking connections to Glambot Studio
- Problem with macOS keychain
Solutions:
- Check the stability of your Internet connection
- Allow the application in your firewall settings
- Reset connection information:
- Deactivate the installation
- Completely quit the application
- Relaunch and reactivate
