Live Galleries

A live gallery is a public, branded page that displays a project's videos in real time — new videos appear automatically as they finish encoding. It's the fastest way to let guests at an event watch and grab their videos on their phones.

This page covers creating and configuring galleries. For what guests see, read The Public Gallery; for QR codes, see QR Codes.

Live gallery

Where galleries live

Open a project and go to the Galleries tab. A project can have multiple galleries — for example one shown on a big screen at the venue and another, password-protected, shared with the client.

Each gallery in the list shows:

  • its name and a secondary line: /live/{slug} · {display mode} · {columns} columns
  • an Active / Inactive chip
  • a Protected chip if it has a password
  • actions to copy the public link, preview, edit, and delete

Click "New gallery" and fill in the settings dialog:

Display modes

  • Scroll — an infinite, real-time feed. New videos slide in at the top with a small "New video available" toast. Best for a screen guests keep checking.
  • Fixed — a static grid of columns × rows that fills the viewport; when full, new videos replace the oldest. Best for a fixed wall display.

Activating and sharing

  1. Toggle Activate gallery on.
  2. Use Copy link to grab the /live/{slug} URL, or Preview to open it.
  3. Share the link — or let guests reach it by scanning a QR code.
Auto-populated

You don't add videos to a gallery by hand. Once active, it automatically shows the project's videos and updates live as new ones finish encoding.

Password protection

Set a password to put the gallery behind a gate. Guests must enter it before viewing; the gate is branded with your project's logo, colors, and background. Access is remembered for a while so guests don't re-enter it constantly. To remove protection, clear the password field (when editing, the field reads "New password (leave empty to keep current)").

Branding

Galleries inherit your project's branding from Settings → General: logo, background image, and colors (the accent color, backgrounds, and text). See Customize a Project. For how branding looks to guests, see The Public Gallery.

Edits apply to viewers in real time — changing settings, or deactivating a gallery, updates open guest pages immediately. Deactivating shows guests "This gallery is no longer active."
